The Cape Town Partnership was established in July 1999 to develop, manage and promote the Cape Town Central City as a place for all and a leading centre for commercial, retail, residential, cultural, tourism, education, entertainment and leisure activities.
The Central City includes the traditional Central Business District (CBD) of Cape Town. It is bounded by:
Woodstock
District Six
Gardens
Bo Kaap
Greenpoint
V&A Waterfront and the Port
It includes the historical 'Old Town', the East City and the Foreshore.

The main vehicle for achieving sound urban management within Cape Town is through the establishment of City Improvement Districts (CIDs), who implement required initiatives.
Currently the Cape Town Partnership acts as the management agent for the Central City Improvement District and the Sea Point Improvement District.
Eurocape works closely with both Cape Town Partnership and the Central City Improvement Districts to ensure that all of their developments retain their historic character and reflect a common identity for all the people of Cape Town.
