Martin Kearns

Chief Executive Officer

Martin is a Chartered Engineer and served a four year apprenticeship with Irish electricity authority, Electricity Supply Board, before graduating with an honours degree in engineering from the University of Leeds in the UK. Martin subsequently worked as a consultant engineer with international consultancy firm, Mott MacDonald, in property and infrastructure projects in UK, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia and Australia. Projects on which Martin worked were the US$20m roll out of top US retailer Walmart stores across China and the STG£1.5bn development of the terminal building at the new HK International Airport at Chek Lap Kok.

Martin re-located back to Ireland from Australia in 1999 to work with another international engineering consultancy firm, Arup. He was head hunted in 2000 to take up a position of Project Manager with a major Irish property developer in industrial and commercial properties. A key development on which Martin gained considerable experience was Citywest Business Campus of which part is the Government-backed National Digital Park. In 2004, Martin moved to South Africa to establish the operation and business of Eurocape and now heads up the South African operation of Howard Eurocape as CEO of Eurocape Holdings (Pty) Ltd.

Since 2004 Eurocape has grown to become a major player in the South African property market with a number of key investment acquisitions and successful developments forming part of a growing property portfolio.
