Good Hope FM Toy Drive Broadcast from Mandela Rhodes Place

Good Hope FM, in partnership with Eurocape and Mandela Rhodes Place, did an outside broadcast in Mandela Rhodes Place in aid of Nigel Pierce's "GHFM Toy Drive".  Members of the public were requested to drop off toys at MRP during the course of the morning show with Nigel Pierce. 

Hundreds of toys were collected and handed over to the Down Syndrome Association of the Western Cape for distribution to children affected by Down Syndrome over the Festive Season.  Members of the Public, including our very own Premier of the Western Cape, Ebrahim Rasool, joined in the festivities to create a atmosphere akin to being set free in a toy store. 

Three Cities, managers of the MRP Apartment Hotel, came on board by delivering 2 cars loads of toys as well as baking a “Toy Toy” cake, which was presented to the Down Syndrome Association.
